The U.S. Finals has grown into the single most successful multi-brand event in the entire U.S. attracting over 1050 teams this past season in just its 4th year. The U.S. Finals is an end-of-the-year event aimed at crowning TRUE CHAMPIONS in all divisions and levels of cheer and dance and giving teams a chance to see where they rank against other teams in their respective divisions. Every team must qualify to attend.

What is The U.S. Finals?

The U.S. Finals is an end-of-the-year event aimed at crowning TRUE CHAMPIONS in all divisions and levels of cheer and dance and giving teams a chance to see where they rank against other teams in their respective divisions. Every team must qualify to attend.
Who is involved in The U.S. Finals?
The original Final Destination event was created by the NLCC, which is currently made up of four great companies, Americheer/Ameridance, American Cheer & Dance Academy, Eastern Cheer & Dance Association and Spirit Unlimited.
In May 2008, the NLCC and The JAM Brands announced a huge partnership to join together to produce The U.S. Finals – Final Destination. The JAM Brands bring seven solid event producers to the mix…JAMfest, COA Cheer and Dance, America’s Best Championships, The Coastal Corporation, LIVE!, Great Lakes Championship Company and GAME DAY Spirit Championships. Bottom line…The JAM Brands and the NLCC have partnered together to take this already phenomenal event to an even higher level. Several other Associate Companies have also jumped on board to make The U.S. Finals the ultimate Final Destination for cheer and dance teams.
What are teams competing for at The U.S. Finals?
Teams will compete at one of six great events for a shot at earning the title of being declared the TRUE U.S. Champion in their respective level and/or division. Regional Champions will be declared at all six sites. All performances from each team at the six regional events will then compete against each other via video. A panel of expert judges will rescore and critique all performances and determine the official 2010 Spirit Rankings for all levels and divisions. In late May of 2010, The U.S. Finals will announce the final overall rankings including the announcement of all U.S. Champions via webcast.
What types of teams can compete at The U.S. Finals?
At The U.S. Finals…EVERYONE is welcome! If we are going to crown a TRUE U.S. Champion, then we are going to do so for everyone that is involved in the sport of cheer and dance. U.S. Finals Champions will be crowned for each of the following…
- All-Star Cheer & Dance
- School Cheer & Dance
- Collegiate Cheer & Dance
- Rec Cheer & Dance
How can my team qualify for The U.S. Finals?
It’s simple! Your team can qualify for The U.S. Finals through attending any of the 250+ qualifying events offered world-wide. Your team must finish 1st-5th place in their respective division in order to qualify. For a complete list of qualifying events please click HERE.
Which U.S. Finals event should we attend?
Teams are able to select which U.S. Finals event they would like to attend. The U.S. Finals has selected six regional championship sites for convenience and affordability. The choice is up to you and your team.
What divisions are offered at The U.S. Finals?

How much does it cost to compete at The U.S. Finals?
All registration fees for The U.S. Finals are per participant and based upon the placement your team received at its qualifying event. For example, if your team received a second place finish at a U.S. Finals qualifier, your team members would pay second place bid pricing for The U.S. Finals event selected. A selective number of Paid Registration Bids will also be awarded at every U.S. Finals qualifying event. Event pricing is located on the downloadable Registration Form. Event pricing is listed below.

How do I receive a Paid Registration Bid to The U.S. Finals?
All Partner and Associate Companies will be giving out Paid Registration Bids at each qualifying event! Please contact each company directly or email info@theusfinals.com to see how many Paid Registration Bids will be given out at a specific event. All 1st place division finishers have priority in receiving a Paid Registration Bid at a qualifying event.
Can we change our Qualifying Bid?
Yes! Each team’s registration fee will be based on its BEST placing finish at a qualifying event. If you attend several qualifiers throughout the season, The U.S. Finals will accept your HIGHEST placing finish. If you register your team under a 2nd place bid, then later receive a 1st place bid, a Bid Change Form will need to be submitted by the coach and The U.S. Finals will refund any money owed for the difference.
What is the substitution policy for The U.S. Finals?
Substitutions and additions may be applied to your team but cannot exceed 20% of your original qualifying team for all-star teams and 40% of your original team for rec and school teams. Substitutions/Additions may not change your co-ed status. Any participant registered over the number of athletes originally qualified for each team must pay 3rd place bid pricing.
Does The U.S. Finals allow crossovers?
Unlimited crossovers are allowed. The crossover athlete will still be required to pay the registration rate associated with each team’s qualifying bid.
Can my athletes compete in Cheer and Dance?
Yes, unlimited crossovers between cheer and dance are allowed. Athletes may perform on both cheer teams and dance teams, if they so choose. Teams will still be responsible for paying the registration rate consistent with each team’s qualifying bid.
How many times do we compete?
In an effort to keep expenses down and allow teams to enjoy their U.S. Finals destination of choice, all teams will only compete once at every U.S. Finals location.
Are International teams able to compete?
Yes, International teams are welcome to compete at The U.S. Finals. All International teams will be required to pay the 1st place bid pricing due to the additional costs associated with coming to the U.S. Please contact jessica@theusfinals.com for more information.
Are Special Needs teams able to compete?
Special Needs teams are not required to earn a bid. They receive an open invitation to compete for FREE at any of our Championship sites.
